Driving Directions

Map to the Jackson County Family Resource Center

From Asheville, NC

Take I-40 West out of Asheville, and continue on this highway (approximately 20 miles) until you come to Exit 27.
Take Exit 27, you are now on Highway 23-74. Continue on this way past Waynesville, across Balsam Mountain, and down toward sylva (approximately 25 miles).
Take Exit 85, which is for Sylva-Cullowhee- Western Carolina, etc.
Continue straight through the first two red lights (Harris hospital toward your right at first light; McDonald’s on right at second red light).
Turn left at the third red light. You are now on 107 south; you will pass the Wal-Mart shopping Center on the right).
Turn right at the second traffic light (apporx. 1.5 miles). There will be an Ingles and State Employees Credit Union on right.
This will put you onto Hwy 116 (Webster Rd.)
Travel 1.5 miles on Hwy 116 until you reach Southwestern Child Development Commission Inc./ Family Resource Center on the right. The building is an old stone school with a playground in the front.
Pull into the parking lot and drive around to the back. The entrance to the Family Resource Center is in the back of the building.

From Franklin (Hwy 441 North)
After passing Country Roads Nursery and just before Top Cat’s Exxon, turn onto Hwy 116 North (Webster Rd.)
Travel 1 mile. Turn right by the power sub-station (Hwy 116)
Travel 1.3 miles. You will see Webster Baptist Church on the right and a bridge on the left. Turn left onto the bridge (Hwy 116)
After coming out of the sharp curve, look for an old stone school building with a playground in the front.
Pass the school and turn in at the entrance (next to Webster Methodist Church.)
Pull into the parking lot and drive around to the back. The entrance to the Family Resource center is in the back on the building. The entrance with steps and an awning is the main entrance. There is a handicap accessible entrance on the patio side.
